The Pakistan Entomological Society is a premier organization dedicated to the study and promotion of entomology—the scientific study of insects—in Pakistan. Our society unites researchers, academics, industry professionals, students, and enthusiasts who share a passion for understanding the critical roles insects play in our ecosystems, agriculture, and public health.

LEGAL & REGULATORY STATUS
The Pakistan Entomological Society (PES) is the only registered organization with the Securities
and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) operating under the direct supervision of a
group of professional entomologists in Pakistan. This registration ensures full legal compliance,
financial transparency, and regulatory oversight. The society’s accounts are regularly monitored
by registered auditors to maintain financial integrity and accountability.
GOVERNANCE & LEADERSHIP
The society operates under a democratically elected cabinet, which was elected in 2024. This
cabinet is responsible for running the training programs, administrative affairs, and overall
management of the society. The leadership is committed to upholding the highest standards of
professionalism and ethical conduct.
MEMBERSHIP STRUCTURE
The Pakistan Entomological Society currently has 150 registered members. The membership
structure is designed to be inclusive and supportive:

The majority of members hold free honorary memberships,
recognizing their contributions to the field.
Student Memberships: Available for a nominal fee, ensuring that students can access society
resources, training, and networking opportunities without financial burden.
FINANCIAL MODEL & SPONSORS
The society’s operations are sustained primarily through external support rather than membership
fees. Membership fees contribute only 2% of total expenses. The remaining financial support is
provided by the society’s valued sponsors:
